RAPS

Imagine being in an open doorway of an aircraft flying at around 3,500 feet — the noise of the engines and the wind ringing in your ears with only the outline of distant fields below. A moment of madness, you leave the security of the aircraft by jumping into the unknown under a command from your skydiving instructor...  That question you have had in your head is answered, "1-4000 check... yes it's open and it's good! Ypee!" The noise, the rush and the blur is taken over by the peace and quiet of the parachute ride, gliding gracefully through the air — 'totally weightless, suspended in the sky'. Finally imagine the exhilaration and relief you will feel after landing having completed your first solo parachute jump? A most memorable experience you will never forget. Stop imagining as now you too can experience the thrills of parachuting that's enjoyed by many thousands all around the World by taking part in one of our static line parachute jump training courses.

The jump is in two parts — your training takes place on the Sunday for your 1st jump on the Monday, weather permitting. During the training you will learn everything you need to know to make a safe parachute jump — the equipment used, how to exit the aircraft, fly your parachute and emergency procedures should you need them. The jump is called a
static line jump because from the moment you step into the aircraft you will be securely attached to a 'static line' which is designed to automatically open your parachute for you as you exit the aircraft.

All instructors we use are National qualified skydiving Instructors with years in the sport, thousands of skydives and each one would have started similar to you!

On the following day (Monday morning) you will receive a refresher training course going over all the points from the day before and then it's time to board the aircraft! As you climb to the jump altitude of 3,500 feet you are bound to feel a little nervous — but don't worry,
this is only natural and is soon overcome by the sheer exhilaration and excitement of exiting the aircraft and experiencing the feeling of total freedom as you make your first parachute descent.

Here is a rough layout of the course.
